MATTHEW MORGAN AND THE FAMILY BAND

Eric Dinse has played guitar for many years with many bands - including Alonzo Savage, G-Men, and Torchlily.  In addition to adding the grit to the overall sound of Matthew Morgan and the Family Band he does solo acoustic work (instrumental) and is a primary member of the Chicago-based bands; Led Astray and Jeff Brown and the New black
James Abud (mandolin/banjo/bass) joins the Family Band by lending his composition and arrangement skills, as well as performing on a pile of stringed instruments.  He's been playing music for his entire life starting at the age of 3 (musical family, you know how that goes).  His experience as a music teacher, researcher, and pit orchestra musician developed his versatility on a number of instruments, as did his leadership and sidemanning with dozens of Detroit-area rock and jazz bands.  Outside of the Family Band, he performs around Chicago as the one-man-band show, Abud: A Bard, featuring his zany antics and impressive beard.
Scott Hirtenstein  (drums & percussion) has been involved in every facet of the Chicago and National music scenes for years.  He started playing drums, congas and percussion at the age of ten and never looked back.  He has been on countless stages with numerous bands.  His beat in days gone by was Chicago's famous Lincoln Avenue.  Home to dozens of live music rooms he played every one that would let him in.  those tours would usually end each night at Chicago's iconic, The Jazz Bulls Club, known to all as "The Bulls".  Subterranean and stucco were the order of the day and open until 4am and 5 on Saturdays, it afforded him an opportunity to work 9 to 5...on the other side of the clock, that is.  He worked with many there including "The Pride of Chicao", Ghalib Ghalab, now the mayor of Las Vegas (in a musical sense).  Scott was the house drummer at The Noble Fool Theater for five years.  All roads led to Matthew Morgan and the Family Band, so it's onwards, upwards, and forwards in all directions.

Paige Ashley Abud, the Valkyrie of the Family Band is a classically trained diva and keyboardist with fire and moxy and the skills to pay the bills. She joined MMFB at its inception by sitting in on the weekly First Slice sessions that gave the band the footing that it needed to begin. She's an experienced multi-instrumentalist with conservatory training, and her sirenlike soprano lends a ferocious sophistication to the gritty, down home grooves.
